A team of four space explorers are trying to get home, but one of them is secretly an alien, sabotaging the ship. Can the crew uncover the alien's identity and outwit its schemes, or will they be led astray into cosmic chaos?
Astral Antics is a one-of-a-kind game where the players are expected to choose between lying or being honest about certain situations.
This game is collaboratively done by myself, Chenyen Liaw, David Alcaraz, and Haowei Zhang.
We conducted multiple playtests, and after the initial several playtests, we decided to incorporate event cards to foster suspicion among players, enhancing strategic gameplay, and meeting the mystery dramatic premise.
Through multiple playtests, we iterated the design details to make the game more balanced and engaging.
I designed the cover, and the character art, while Chenyen designed the card backs and Haowei designed the card layouts.
The spaceship, the two hearts, and the coin were 3D printed and were modeled by Chenyen.
David designed the rulebook which we iterated multiple times.
We then presented and introduced our game to more than 100 people.
