Sound Implementation

With the help of our instructor Steffan Incze, we set up the whole theatre's sound system by placing a mixer backstage. All sounds go into the mixer and get premixed, where we EQ, compress and limit them. This mixer has two output routes, one goes into the on-stage monitor system, while the other one goes to the theater's PA system and the signal is thus amplified and played through the theater speakers.

For sound effects specifically, I used a MIDI keyboard and Mainstage program to trigger them. Each sound effect was mapped into a particular key on the keyboards, either one-shot or looping. I made my own cue sheet using the script, and played the sounds as the cue sheet indicated.
